Need: Temporary Place to Stay

Christine Hipp's family has someone coming to this area who needs a place to stay for for 2 weeks staring Sept. 9th. This couple is adopting a baby from Harbor Hospital and they are looking for a place to rent. If anyone has any leads, please contact Christine Hipp or Carolyn Summerhays.

Need: After School Help

Tess Connell is willing to pay someone that could pick up her daughter every day after school from Waterloo Elementary at 4:15 p.m. It would only be for about an hour each day.

The Sweet Sounds of Success

Jesse Lacko placed in the top 6 finalists of the Mormon Times Summer Showcase. She sang two of her excellent songs live at the Showcase Concert at the Sandy Amphitheater in Utah this past Friday. We are really proud of you, Jesse!

It's a Girl!

Sharee Morrey had a baby girl on Thursday. She was 8 lbs. 6 oz. 20" long. Both mother and baby Madison (Maddy) are doing fine.

Time Out for Women Coming to Richmond, VA

Time Out for Women is an inspirational event featuring presentations by respected authors and artists who address the spiritual challenges and needs of women in the Church. It's a great opportunity for women to gather and get recharged. This event is for women ages 16 and older.

Time Out for Women is coming to Richmond, Virginia on Friday, October 9th (6:30pm-9:30pm) and Saturday, October 10th (9:00am-3:45pm) at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.

Some of the presenters will be Michael McLean, Ardeth G. Kapp, Hilary Weeks, Mary Ellen Edmunds, Brent Top, and several others. It is definitely an event not to be missed.

Currently, the price for the event is as follows (this is only until September 10th):
$57 for both nights
$50 for Saturday only
They are offering a discount if 5 or more people register for the full weekend for a cost of $47 (this is still a better deal even if you can only go on Saturday).
So gather up your friends and make a weekend of it!

Congratulations to Shaun and Morgan Pierce for the birth of Lillian Evelyn on Sunday.  Randy and Brenda Pierce are the grandparents.

Dinner and Movie Groups are forming!

The Movie group will go to see "Julie & Julia" at Snowden Square on Sat., August 29, 2009 at 1:30 and 4:30--if you can make either time and have not signed up, please let Pauline Thornton know. See Pauline Thornton to purchase VIP Super Saver movie tickets for $6.50 each--they never expire! Payment (cash please) is not due until the tickets are hand delivered.
