Produce Co-op

Some sisters in the Columbia 1st ward are trying to get a produce co-op up and running, modeled after the very successful one that's been in Catonsville for years. They will be hosting the co-op near the intersection of Harper's Farm Rd and 108. They are in need of a few more shares to make it a smooth-running operation.

Do you buy a lot of fresh produce?
If so, the Columbia Produce Co-op is perfect for you!

How much does it cost?
• A full share is $20 per week
• A half share is $10 per week

What are your responsibilities?
• Each Wed you or your partner if you are sharing, pick up your produce at Terri Lin Smith’s garage (off of Harper’s Farm Rd and 108). Produce is ready for pick up by 7:30 AM
• Five times a year, you and your partner will be responsible for choosing and buying the produce from the supplier in Jessup. You will buy the produce early in the morning, bring it to the garage, and have it divided up into each share’s baskets by 7:30 AM.
• Attend one annual meeting to decide what weeks everyone will be buying the produce.

If any families are interested they can contact Dani Gardner or Becky Garcia to get more information.

Houseplants Need a Good Home

Now that fall is getting cooler, it is time to move the houseplants inside for the winter. I don't have space for a gardenia and an arrangement of about 5 different plants in a dish garden. Is there someone who would like to give these pretty plants a good home? Please contact Karen Feagin.
