Welcome!
Welcome to Barbra Sanchez and Charleene Clay! We are glad to have you in our Relief Society!
Women's Group
Hi everyone,
This Wednesday looks like it's going to be the warmest day this week. Let's plan on meeting at Rockburn Park at 10 am. I'll send out an email on Tuesday night to cancel if the chance of thunder storms increases. Also, since Halloween is on Sunday I was thinking it would be fun to dress the kids in their costumes to get more use out of them. I'll bring a camera and take some pictures, too :)
See you Wednesday!
Melissa Riley

Candlelight Vigil
Dear Sisters,
There will be a candlelight vigil at 6pm this Tuesday.
This is the first time our county has had a domestic violence awareness candlelight vigil; part of the reason why they are having one now is because of Shane Wynn's death. Either Greg Isaac (the father of Shane's two oldest children) or I (Sarah Ann Cox) will be speaking for about two minutes at some point during the vigil. The Domestic Violence Center is connected to the Grassroots Women's shelter, which (for those of you who used to be in Savage Mill, like me) we used to make sack lunches for now and again.
Here are the details:

November Activity
RS Breast Cancer Awareness Night
On Wednesday November 10, beginning promptly at 7:00PM we will be having a breast cancer awareness night and service project. All are invited to learn about Chey Brower's cancer journey and to understand how to do a breast self exam. We will also learn about the latest technologies for cancer detection and treatment methods. Additionally, we will be sewing shoulder pillows and drainage bags for donating to a breast care nurse to distribute to ladies after they have had mastectomy and/or lymph node surgery. If you have any kind or color of fabric to donate, please bring it on Sunday to Sis. Brower. We also need 6 sewing machines and scissors/thread on the night. Email col2RS@gmail.com if you have a machine you would be willing to lend us. Our goal is to sew at least 30 bags and 30 pillows to bless the lives of 30 women!

Playgroup
It looks like rain again on Thursday and Friday! What luck! However, the chance of rain on Friday is lower so we can try to meet at Rockburn Park at 10 am. If it's soaking outside/still raining on Friday morning let's plan to go to the Columbia Mall's play place instead at 10 am (right in front of JCPenny's). There's no school on Friday and the Columbia mall's play space has an age limit to it (not sure what it is!). If anyone knows of a place that's better suited for older kids, let me know! Otherwise, we'll pray for good weather and use Columbia Mall as a back-up.
See you Friday at 10!
See you Friday at 10!
All Women are welcome to attend! If you have questions contact Melissa Riley.
