Dear Sisters:
We are excited that many are interested in studying a Gospel oriented book together as Relief Society Sisters. The book study is meant to support sisters in spiritual growth and sisterhood. This meeting is not mandatory, nor will it involve everyone; just those who are looking to share thoughts and a good book!
We have asked Sister Sue Cooper to head up the discussion on the first book. She will hold the first meeting at her house at 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 16th. Please, check the book below, and decide if it might be something you might be interested. The book is a recommendation from sister Sue Cooper who has read it (please, see her review below). The name of the book is "Continuous Atonement" by Brad Wilcox, published by Deseret Book. It is your responsibility to get a copy of the book or to share with other members of the book study. This book is available at Deseret Book via the following link: http://deseretbook.com/
Please, RSVP to sister Campora and let her know if you wish to participate.
Here is what sister Sue Cooper has to say about the book:
"The Continuous Atonement is one of the books that has changed the way I understand the Atonement. I would go as far to say it was life changing. Brad Wilcox explains the Atonement in the most simplest terms. He does it in a way that I know without a doubt that "Christ doesn't just make up the difference. He makes ALL the difference." It's a short easy read and I hope that you will journal the insights that the Holy Ghost will whisper to you. Bring your book and your journal and we'll have a great discussion about THE most important part of the Gospel".
