Map of USA

The Family History Center has a 4 x 6 map of the United States that we would like to donate to someone. Its in good condition and could be a lovely, educational wall decoration for the bedroom of one of your children. Contact Wanda Franklin.

If you need a blender ...

We have a blender free to a good home. It is a basic blender we do not need so if anyone can use it let me know.

Book Study #2 Sneak Peek :-)

Dear Sisters:

Our very first book study in February was a great success. We had close to 20 sisters who have read the book called "Continuing Atonement" and there are few who are reading it thanks to those who have finished the book and were willing to share it with those who were interested to read it.

We would like to announce the next book study which will be in April (the date and place will be announced soon) and here is a book which few of you recommended to RS Presidency for the next book study. We have felt it would be a great read and many of you might be interested in the following title. The book is called "A Heart Like His: Making Space for God's Love in Your Life" by Virgina H. Pearce (President Hinckley's daughter). You may check the following website which gives more insight on the book:

http://deseretbook.com/Heart-His-Making-Space-Gods-Love-Your-Life-Virginia-H-Pearce/i/4954457

As we have mentioned before, the book study is meant to support sisters in spiritual growth and sisterhood. This meeting is not mandatory, nor will it involve everyone; just those who are looking to share thoughts and a good book!

Please, RSVP to sister Campora and let her know if you wish to participate.

Thanks, RS C2 Presidency.

"Educating Ourselves About Depression"

Sisters;

The Eldersburg Relief Society is holding a meeting on
February 10, 7-9pm at the Eldersburg Ward Building. It is a class entitled "Educating Ourselves About Depression". This class is for both sisters and brethren. Sister Ann Rothlisberger, a LDS Social Services Counselor, will be speaking on clinical depression (including post partum) and how to recognize when it's time to seek professional help. Sister Lorie Pierce, Eldersburg Ward Relief Society president, will be speaking from a gospel perspective on the day to day dealing with depression. Most of us will at some point in our lives encounter depression - either through experiencing it ourselves or associating with someone who is. This meeting is intended to educate - not diagnose. Should Carroll County Schools be closed that day due to inclement weather or should they close early for inclement weather - this meeting will be postponed until April 7, 7-9pm.

While we are offering a children's class for families in our ward - we are not equiped to offer that to families from other wards. I apologize if any announcement that may have been passed along through our bishops indicated differently.

Thanks! Lorie Pierce
Eldersburg Ward Relief Society President
