Fun Stuff

Share info on upcoming fun events, especially free or low cost. Stuff for kids, community events, service/volunteer opportunities, arts and culture, historical... are just a few ideas.

  2. enlightenedhomemaker.com has free chore charts and meal planning calendars you can print out to use for your family. You can customize the chore charts for each day of the week and child.

  3. We enjoy going to our local library for storytimes with the kids. The schedules change every few months, but they are usually weekday mornings at 10 and 11 for ages 5 and under and then there are a few activities at other times for older kids. They also have free movies to check out - so it is a great alternative to renting!

  4. Another sale! I was at Kohl's and in their clearance section in the infants/toddler stuff I found pj's for only $1, and there were a lot of them!

  6. For those who have not heard of it yet, freecycle.org is a free recycling group through yahoo.com. You can post stuff to give away and everyone in the group gets your email- you just pick who gets it. Also you can get stuff other people are giving away. I have found it a valuable resource to keep things out of the landfill, and to give nice things away that you don't use but don't want to donate. Just sign up thru freecycle.org!
